Another letter to the publisher from a reader in Nashville: "I think your book is just a complete double-eagle for understanding the true nature of the golf experience. It's absolutely hilarious. How it escaped my attention [until now] I don't know. There have been just a handful of books that I've read in my lifetime that I thought, "Damn, I should have thought of that!" (That's not including the Harry Potter series, of course.) Yours is the newest on that short list.

This is a great book for someone just getting back into golf. I especially liked chapter 32 explaining the fact that most golfers are bad golfers. It is very easy to become intimidated by the prowess claimed by most golfers and it becomes very tempting to remain in the bar rather than make a fool of yourself trying to play with these self proclaimed masters. This book will show you that most of the guys are no better than you and usually worse! It brings the enjoyment back to the amateur game and it makes for wonderful reading when you find yourself all alone on the green, your partners having marched on in disgust, and you face the dreaded fourth putt! Go Bobby!

Publisher received this on 27 April: "I settled in to read your book on a cool day at a Cape Cod Beach. I flipped to Chapter 6, burst out laughing, and tipped over my water bottle.
