I love the Shopaholic series and I was extremely excited for this book. And I wasn't disappointed. I still love the Shopaholic series, but I loved this book even more. I liked that it was more about relationships and less about financial turmoil. I felt stressed out for Becky Bloomwood. Emma is more assertive and finally gets to speak out for herself. I loved all the characters in this book and I could match them up with people in my life, so it made it that much better. Everyone knows someone who displays similiar characteristics of Artemis, Jemima and awful cousin Kerry.

Is this book fun and probably a bit unrealistic? Definitely. Is that part of the reason I love it. Absolutely. It made me chuckle. It was a great distaction from everyday life. And true to her form, Sophie Kinsella leaves us asking for more. Oh and for anyone who might be interested, I heard that they were going to turn this into a movie that is due out sometime next year with Kate Hudson as Emma. I hope it does justice to the book.

Even though it isn't as good as the shopaholic series...

Emma Corrigan finaly has her chance to shine, but the meeting she attends turns out to be a disaster. On top of that (and the vodka and chamapgne she'd been drinking), during an especially bumpy plane ride she exposes all her secrets to a handsome American stranger that happens to be sitting next to her on the plane.

As it turns out, the hunk is not a stranger, but rather the owner of Panther Cola (where Emma works), who turns out at the office the next morning, and seems to remember every tiny little detail of what Emma told him. And he also seems determined to act on that knowledge, and make a mess out of Emma's life. Or is it a mess?

Even though Emma isn't Becky Bloomwood, this is still a good read. The only thing I didn't like were the too - many plot twists at the end of the book.

Okay, Emma is slightly dopey with all her little secrets, but haven't we all at one time or another left the scene of the copy room when the paper got jammed? Believing she'll never lay eyes on the handsome stranger who sits beside her on a turbulent flight, Emma reveals her innermost secrets and most fatal character flaws. The fun begins when the stranger turns up on her job. He's the CEO! Be prepared to laugh uproariously.
