This book proves that professional assassins can be as fascinating as legitimate law officers. A veteran Interpol cleaner, Bannon describes in detail what could be called his greatest hits. He reveals the workaday life of assassins, who are nothing like the images presented in novels and especially in film. In addition to so many murders, Bannon was involved in all facets of tracking kidnappers and child pornographers and explains how they function and think. So many people have come forward to affirm the validity of Bannon's book and child pornography that its hard to grasp that there are still those who deny it. To read this book is to know its true.

I have always been fascinated by the characters that appear in true crime stories so this book is enjoyable. 90% of the book is an explanation from 20 years ago of how children are kidnapped and sold and Interpol's assassination squads. Very compellingly told and a lot can be gathered psychologically about Bannon because he reveals so much about himself.

Dr. Bannon's book is a moving Christian story. I was moved to tears at the powerful remorse so clearly imbued within the words and at the miracle of the author's redemption. This is a book for mature Christians who can share the terror of evil through Bannon's eyes and rejoice with him as he rediscovers the power of good. We heard Dr. Bannon on a Canadian radio program while on vacation last week and were riveted by his profound candor and unswerving dedication to spreading this harsh but important message. I bought the book and read it within a few days. What can I add that to these many excellent reviews? Race Against Evil is disturbing on a visceral level, there's little doubt, because enslavement of children is a crime so devilish that we can't stand to face it. But we can't wish it away!

This is without a doubt the most unreadable book I have ever read. Not a single paragraph rings true. It is inconceivable that Amazon's 5-star rating is legit. Everything and everyone Bannon writes about is lifeless. The reader is never given any sense of how this young man supposedly transitioned from Mormon missionary to hitman. The confusing and disjointed narrative is made even more irritating by the dozens of names he stirs into his story. These are names of people that are complete ciphers and often seem to be included for no reason other than to add to the reader's general confusion.
