I bought this book looking for an End User License Agreement (EULA) that I could use to redistribute my software. The book includes a couple, but none of them are very good. I find this odd since EULA's are very standard and most read the same. This book's EULAs do not protect you enough (as a developer) and there are no contracts that allow you to license your software to others for them to resell.

I give the book a couple stars because I was able to use the EULAs as a starting point, but overall, the book has content that wasn't relevant.

I think if you are doing work for hire and consulting work, then the book would be more relevant. But since the book is titled "Development" I was expecting it to be centered around a developer's legal issues (with EULAs being the top one).

I have been a programmer of some sorts for the last 15+ years
and I had no idea, That I as a programmer/consultant had so many rights concerning development, and concerning my clients/customers etc...

If your a programmer/developer, or hire programmers/developers you have to (MUST) read this book!!!

and the forms/cdrom is really good, don't forget to download new forms, updates etc... from their website.

These 30 forms cover employee and contractor agreements, software and web development agreements, nondisclosure agreements, copyright assignments and license agreements and how to handle publicity releases and promotional materials in multimedia format. The latter is particularly challenging because not only are names involved, but photos and often voice and video files for which you need permission to use if you don't own it or it becomes a privacy issue. If you perform or contract for web or software development, including content, then you need this book.
