Judge by his character, I think "the mighty " may decode to "the mighty robot".

and then you can resolve the mystery with a simple character substitution.

Character substitution only gets you so far, I got the robot, but eg. could be you, son, don, mop, sod, pod, sop, lop, bop, won, con, etc...
admittedly, most of those are fairly unlikely, but you get the idea.
When I first tried, I got this far then went off in search of pizza, but I shall attempt again:

I don't mind. A friend once pointed out that while reading a guide/the answer is cheating ni some peoples eyes, you did manage to find the answer. Its the most efficient way, all hail occam's razor. I wonder if Occam was clean shaven?
