I will bring a selection of miniature savoury pies to allow people to taste the savoury pie tradition. I will also bring a 60metre radius blueberry pie of depth 5metres. How much filling should I buy to fill my pie?

Did you take into account the angle of the pie edging? Also, I'd like the answer in cubic feet.

The edging is at a 60° angle \__ here.

To translate to feet you will have to use google. I recommend doing it in metres then translating at the end.

and shouldn't the translating be done first it is hard to do the other way. for instance many people would make the mistake of saying that 1 sqaure foot = 12 square inches. Though I've never made such a mistake, I've seen it happen

That's true, but being aware of the problem you should be able to overcome it.

100cm^2 is still the same as 1m^2, right? Though I guess that is doing the translating first...

I don't know which is better any more, and I leave the challenge to you to solve. You could also give the answer in decibels...

1 m ^2 is equal to 10000 cm^2 I believe

I think what I meant was... not quite what i said.

1^2m = 100^2cm, but not what I said before. This is what I meant... and i think it comes out what you said:

1^2m = 1m^2, 100^2cm = 10000cm^2.

That is what you said so, I agree. My former statement wasn't too well thought out, but there's no superscript 2 for powers.
