well it's become a bit slower since everyone who started here went on to college and such but if you post on one of the topics or make a new thread, people are sure to respond...

:hi:
im very well, thankyou :D
hope you weren't caught in the rain, or if you were you had an umbrella
the weather here has been terrible, and everyone is going loopy about a bit of frost on the ground a week ago as it never happens in gibraltar. i grew up in britain, frost happens all the time and is seen as a disappointment (its a constant reminder that we never get snow, just hail and frost)...

Still, it makes for a perfect environment to sit in front of a roaring fire with a good book.

Maybe that is why Brits are very well read...

I'm waiting for snow. I've thought it would snow for the last month but it hasn't come.

i would love a fireplace to sit in front of and warm my tootsies while i read a good book and fire up marshmallows like people do in the pictures on old fashioned chocolate boxes (maybe i shouldn't use the word tootsies to mean toes, but then i still use childish language a lot of the time :P). sadly the place i grew up in london, although being a Victorian built house (converted into apartments), the previous owners bricked up the original fireplaces. if you tap the walls in certain places its hollow because the fireplace is just behind the thin piece of wall. my parents never had enough money to get the fireplaces restored but we always wanted them!
where i am now, fireplaces are just a wishful thought i have when i remember there is no central heating :( just because this is supposed to be a mediterranean country they assume no-one wants central heating. its freezing especially at night :shake:

Mysti ,

as a plan B., I bought those "fake" fireplaces that double as a space heater. It may not be the same, still it has a relaxing effect.

Shame about the blocked fireplace at the house. To me, it would be worth every penny.
