song writer - can it be a composer
Of course!
I thought people would make their own lists of things and just add bits when they thought of them....

I love opera!! My dad was always playing his opera cassettes full blast on a Sunday after we had Sunday lunch and it just drove me crazy. Now I love it as much as he ever did. It was such a thrill the first time I went, to see it come to life.
My favourites are Tosca, La Boheme and the "One Fine Day" aria from Madame Butterfly..... and so many more!!! We quite often used go to the Opera House in Sydney to see operas, ballets, choral performances, plays, symphonies etc. But don't go so much now - mostly to plays.
May I suggest that you see the videos of them first?? The reason being that the videos have subtitles so that you know what's going on. Our Opera House had surtitles unobtrusively above the stage, but many don't... by seeing the video you'll know what's happening so that not having the words available isn't frustrating when you see them in real life.
Also take some tissues because you just might need them!
Anything by Gilbert and Sullivan is wonderful. I also like The Merry Widow and The Fledermaus.
And the ballet!!! Well that will make your heart sing! It's joyous.
How wonderful to be you sailing forth to discover all the amazing things there are in the world.
