I think mine is titanium, but am swayed towards silver, and white gold. I like metals that are brushed more than polished, they are more subtle but equally pretty (more so in my opinion)

Titanium is very, very cool. Did you know they use it to make the white letters on M&Ms?

I love collecting metal ores, the raw, pretty, sometimes crystalline ones.

I would have to say gold is my favorite, although I don't own a whole lot of it. Everything else just rusts away or gets oxidized. Gold will shine for ten thousand years without any help. Every culture reveres it.

Runner up would by molybdenum. Just because the word is so fun to say.

I learned something fun about nickels and nickel a while ago. Canadian nickels (coins) have more nickel in them than US nickels. Therefore, Canadian nickels are attracted to a magnet. US nickels are not.

2) Canadian Looney ($1) - Successful Attachment

4) Canadian Quarter (25c) - Successful Attachment
5) Canadian Penny (1c) - Attachment Failed
6) Canadian Nickel (5c) - Attachment Failed

So, no, Canadian nickel doesn't attach to magnet.

How old was your Canadian nickel?

Maybe they have changed the nickel content since I read of that experiment and tried it myself.

does it matter nickle is the least reactive metal there is and it is believed
that all other substances are decaying down to be nickle so it doesnt
realy matter how old the nickle is becuase the part that would stick to
the magnet wouldnt be afected by age
