Vegetarianism

Postby Bomadeno on Mon May 02, 2005 10:49 pm

Vegetarianism is a lifestyle choice.

Vegetarians choose not to eat meat not because they don't like it tub because they don't agree with the way it is produced.

If you think it's saving animal lives being a vegetarian, then veg.

But when you have about 20 wild cattle roamin in your backyard, there will be NO meat-eaters to get rid of them. And since you detest killin things they will just grow in numbers.

There is a great philosophy I know of... "For life to exist, lives of others must be sacrificed."

This is true in the Animal world, AND in the Human world. Death fuels life, and Life creates death.

In other words, we all live to eat. Other animals, lower in the food chain, live to be eaten. And plants live to be eaten as well. SO EAT THE DAMM (I didn't cuss) MEAT!

Vegetarianism:

Postby Bomadeno on Mon May 02, 2005 11:35 pm

Arguements against:
-Vegetables taste like poo

Arguements for:
-Retains more energy in the food chain
-Better for the environment
-Off your conscience
-Easier
-Use less space

And if you didn't keep the cows in a back yard then they would never grow so much - only reason there are too many cows is that we 'make' too many cows.

Agh... You're not getting the point here. I'm SERIOUS!

That quote is what you need to think about. Eating ONLY vegatables is not the answer to saving lives. Vegetables are living, too. At least untill they kill em and ship em off to the grocery store.

If you think it's wrong to eat meat... then YOU are wrong.

If you just don't like the taste of meat, then go ahead doing it. MORE MEAT FOR ME.

I eat meat...

I do eat meat. And i live in the UK so me stopping eating meat would have absolutely no effect on you.

The points for and against were just solid fact.

And don't swear.

Vegetarianism is still more efficient..

Postby Bomadeno on Tue May 03, 2005 12:16 am

Well it is...

Vegetarianism is still more efficient.

Tub I like meat. And I will continue to despite having a choice. In this I am arrogant.

I live in beef country. A lot of our beef is local. I live in a place where there are more cows than people so we eat them a lot. Not to mention the occasional pork, chicken, venison and the occasional meadow maggot. I like Meat! Hurray for carnivores!

Beef

Well, if cows look as cute as a penguin, will you still eat cow? We only eat things that is kind of dumb looking and is wasting a lot of space.

But that's hardly efficient. Think of it, if cow eats grass, won't it be more efficient if we eat grass directly and spare the middle man? And since grass absorb solar energy so it'll be much more efficient to directly get our energy from the sun.

I'm currently a vegetarian and is considering to become a solarterian soon after I have grown some solar cells on my skin.

I like meat. I come from cattle country, like cherokee girl. Ofcourse, we both come from the same town, in the middle of nowhere. Why are predators smater than herbivores? The answer is simple. 1. to catch the meat, you must be smarter. 2. With meat you get more protein, and helps make you smart. True, though, if we were to eat only vegetables, then less energy would be lost as it moves through the trophic levels, but society has and probably always will be based on producing meat. Think about all of those ranchers who would go out of business. Oh, and I even have some cows, myself.

You can get protein from eating fish - they aren't meat

And I am playing devil's advocate by the way. (although not very well)
