Ridiculous discovery

Postby hamster on Wed Mar 14, 2007 7:44 pm

In my daily job, I do a lot of work with clip art.

Imagine my annoyance today when I couldn't find any clip art on the web under the theme of "Hispanic" that didn't show some lady dancing, a cactus, some dude with a huge black moustache or something from the Taco Bell menu.

I was simply looking for everyday photos/clip art of Hispanic people going about their daily activities like any other people in the world. The blatant stereotypes were disgusting. This is still the scene in 2007?

Try Google image, they return pretty "normal" Hispanic pictures.

Google image?

Man, I'm backward. Is that a specific search function of Google, different from a regular search?

If the little man wears a ring, it's probably from Lord of the Ring. If it doesn't, then it's just one of the many green men from outer space.

http://www.photobucket.com is a site where you can store videos, photos and images for free. You sign up, they never bother you and you've got a spot to upload all your piccies.

Also, you might need some pic for something, for example the other day I typed cabbage in to the search thingy and found a great pic of a person disguise as a cabbage for my forum.

It's just like the othe sites where you store your pics, but I just find photobucket easier to use.
