Welcome to the new world!

Welcome to Abandoned Forum 2.0, the new new world.

You might wonder what happened to Abandoned Forum 1.0? Well, it had been completely annihilated by the spambots... :cry: :cry: :cry:

Procrastination, that's what happened. I had been ignoring the spammers for more than 3 years, thinking they are nothing more than minor nuisances. Until one day, their spambots ganged up together and marched across my site. The usage meter on my site went through the roof and my ISP kicked me out.

So that's why we are here right now. Abandoned forum 2.0.

This site has been completely rebuilt. Over 6000 spammers has been removed from the user lists. Yes 6000. It took me almost 6 hours to remove them all. Not only that, this site has also been boosted up with 1000 more new features!!! :lol: Ok, I didn't count how many new features, but there are many. For the next few days, I will post tips about the new features.... stay tuned!!!

Oh, almost forgot, I have also hired a robot to counter the spambots, so I would like to introduce you to our newest member, the robot, he shall be around here from time to time... killing spammers.

Greeting mankind.
I am the robot. You can call me Mr. Robot (If you feel that's more accessible to your Random Access Memory).
I am here to execute the following algorithm:
Code: Select all
if see==donuts then
execute chew donuts
else if time==day then
execute nap
else if time=night then
execute sleep
else if see==spambots then
execute Kill spambots
end if

If you see a spammer, do not bother to call me. Chances are I will be too busy chewing donuts. And don't even dream of ordering me around, I got a brain as big as Jupiter, a single neuron in my brain is bigger than everything you got in your little head.

And I don't like to be disturbed when I sit on the beach enjoying the solar radiation. If you have any choirs, call the homeland security, complaint to the president or the chairman of the United Nations, whatever. Just don't bother me. I can't be bothered. My time is too valuable to handle little choirs for little human like you.

Thanks robots for his enthusiasm. I am sure we will be safe.

Bugs reports:

Some of you may noticed you have lost your uploaded avatar... well don't be too desparate. They were lost in the neverland of software upgrade, I'm sure they are fine living in the limbo..... they probably haven't been eaten by a wolf... yet... anyway, you can just upload a new avatar and forget about your old avatar.

Some of you might have login problem. To solve the problem, please hit your browser with a big hammer, close it and open it again. It might work.

Some of you might notice other weird things... if so please let the Robot knows. I'm sure he will handle it with care... on a second thought it might be better to inform me. I think Mr. Robot must be very busy doing his jobs.

Ooohh... It is nice. Everything looks shiny and smooth!

Anyway, hello, from work, where, if anyone sees me on here (for the first time in oh so long) I will probably get shot. Or fired. Or both. That's why its only a brief stop off, alas, again, and not much of a return from me, but with university drawing near again, no promises, but i might actually have some free time baka for myself! And then, maybe, just maybe, I'll return with posting fingers, and put post-its all over the site. Now where did I put the shoes...

I hope all those that I recognise are doing well, plus, hope those I don't recognise are too!

Its really is ages since I posted... :sorry:

Hey welcome back Bom :hi: :hi: :hi:

It looks like everyone is showing up once a while for a very brief moment...

Don't worry, this board will always be here for as far as I can see. I bet if you drop by 10 years later, it will still be here, with not much change...

ummm.... your favorite online people have been as quiet as a group hibernating baby porks. The world around us is too busy to allow us to linger in a lonely forum...

Very well done robot. How do you make missiles though, surely you get magnetically attracted to screwdrivers and lifting gear and such like?
