I belive that when i die that i will go to heavan because i am saved by the grace of God but many will go to hell for they are not in the book of life
i dont fear death

I am religious and believe in an afterlife, but also that I can't currently comprehend what it will be like.
I think the concepts of Heaven and Hell are too straightforward. We categorise them because in this life, you can't be both free for doing good things and incarcerated for doing bad, there has to be a cutoff. But in the afterlife, whose to say this will be that case?
I believe you will be accountable for what you do in this life, but I have no idea how you will be judged. How can we possibly know the criteria?
Therefore I believe that if you lead your life as you honestly believe it should be led, you will be judged accordingly.
I realise that doesn't in fact say much, but then again, how can I know what god will decide?
I have also wondered if God is, infact, everything. The total sum of all that exists. If heaven is, infact, the process of becoming aware of this.
Looked at like that, reincarnation could be the answer.
But If that is true, I don't think you'd be linked as you are now in any way to your new self, therefore it wouldn't be you, but a part of the whole of which you are also a part.

In short, I believe in continued existence - I'm just not sure what it will be like!

Somehow, I don't think there will be judgment, unless the afterworld is ruled by man. Judgment is a concept of man. Good and bad. Right and wrong. It's only good for men for the duration of their lifetime. When everything is a rotten carcass at the end, what is the significance of Good and Right?

It's like a sandcastle by the sea, you can build one with fancy sky reaching towers and you can build one as lame as an anthill, but when the ebb comes, everything will be flatten like it has never existed.

I'm not saying that all glory and victory are worthless. By all means, build your sky reaching tower. But you shouldn't be whining at the end, and sullen about those who built the ant hill are not "punished" at the end.

At the end of the movie, are you going to suggest that all those who play the bad guys should be punished? I agreed they should be punished "inside" the movie, or else the movie is not making any sense or it won't be a good movie. But after the movie, you shouldn't be throwing rocks at those who play the bad guys. It would be silly, don't you think?
