Postby nowhere man on Wed Aug 10, 2005 5:12 am

Make up some Haikus and write them here where people can comment.I know people have posted Haikus before, but this thread is for Haiku s only.

REMEMBER the rule for a Haiku is 5 syllables 7 syllables then 5 again

heres one im going to make up right now

Tired, it's night time
slowly i become sleepy
to tired to sleep

heres another one because i like it

summer is hotter then
winter, spring and fall all are
but it has berries

Bored and sleeplessly
Plodding through stalls and raffles
Excitement. Soiree.

:bored:

our friend the earthworm,
how does he ever get clean?
he washes in dirt.

Hard are this life's trials.
Come through them in time we must
rest waits at the end.

At some point in life
We all come to realise
Chocolate is quite fine

I write this on the first day of three days that I will be spending, through my own free will, without the company of blessed chocolate. Wish me luck!

Line 2 only has 6 syllables. And penguins are a mass hallucination experienced by seals and polar bears and eskimos for millenia, and now it's affecting us too!

Ok, here's the count of syllables....

Take - off - hi - s - Ta - xe - do..

So all you need is to split "his" into "hiiiiii-ssss", then it will work perfectly...

If it's borken, make it not broken...

A much more open-minded philosophy than 'if it's borken, fix it,' actually. It bears thinking about.

If somthiing that matters is broken, say a pipe in the bacement, and you pretend it isn't broken, where does that leave you? I don't know what this has to do with borken but............

Written in lights.

Deep in the jungle,
Is where the birds learn to sing,
Clearly and loudly.

Deep in the Ocean,
Is where the eels lay their eggs,
Darkly and Shockly.

Nice stuff.

What is in a name?
Apart from the obvious.
Is it just a word?
