They are more than creepy, in some cases it's one munch and you are earthworm lunch!! :shock:

I was clearing out the summer house once, and this big bunch of spiders and baby spiders fell on me and they were all crawling up my legs, i was screaming my head off!!!!!! my mum came in and attacked me with a broom.

I think spiders are neat. They are good for scaring and keeping down the insect population. What i hate is rats

Spiders have their place in the world. They are good at catching annoying flying insects. In some Native American Cultures they believe that the spider made the world. Also the web on a dreamcatcher is a copy of a spiderweb.

All those who like spiders raise their hands.........

Okay, now look at that hand. Spread the fingers out and you will see how big the spider was, that was sitting IN OUR BATHROOM this morning......

It was a BIG one!!! :shock:

And Mr Astarte bravely did battle with it, while I hid in the bedroom.

Yes, spider's have their place, but it isn't mine! We live in a "Redback area" where there are infestations of the deadly redback spider. It is a small (if you make a circle with your thumb and pointer finger, that's how big it is) and it makes nests in stacked timber, or in garden furniture etc. and in your home.... One bite can be fatal if not treated quickly.

There are also funnel web spiders, which I think may be the deadliest in the world, hanging around as well............ and these are just a couple of the many varieties that abound in Australia.

So, spider lovers, I must say that although you might like to cosy up with some hairy, 8-legged pal, I do not. And, should that rascal come a-visiting he will be squashed flatter than a pancake by the intrepid Mr Astarte - what a hero!

Now Astarte,
We have Black Widows,and Brown Recluse. I have been known to wake up with these on my pillow. And the bites are not nice. The ER and the clinic have seen parts of my body I do not wish for anyone to see because to the critters. But I am not afraid of them I respect them and the pieces of art they make. Since I am Native American (Indian) I do know my tribes stories, spiders need love too.
