What if........

Postby Astarte on Sat Nov 12, 2005 2:03 pm

........ there were holes in the universe and things fell in and out of them, reappearing at the oddest times?

I occasionally lose things that reappear, sometimes years later, in places they have no business being.

For example, I once went for a buffet dinner in one of the bigger hotels in Sydney, and whilst there, lost a ring that I wear every single day. And, yes we did search for it thoroughly!

About six weeks later, when I thought it was time to get out some warmer clothes as the cooler weather was approaching, there on the cupboard floor, under three big garbage bags full of jumpers was my ring....?? It stayed for a little while to let me know that it was alright, and then vanished again, having grown fond of its new home in the other world.

there are holes in the universe there called wormhols and black holes the theory says that a worm hole is two black holes tht meet the only problem is though while one side is opening the other is closing so we cant go through them

My sister got a pair of tiny new diamond earrings for Christmas a few years ago. We had to go to our aunt's house for Christmas dinner and as we walk into the Aunt's house my sister noticed her new earring was gone. We spend over three hours tearing the car apart looking for that earring. we scoured the walk way looking for it.About 3 months later my parental unit was going outside and noticed a glint on the floor by the front door. And there was my sister's earring. The floor had been vaccummed there and it shouldn't of been there. Needless to say she got her earring back only to lose the pair a week later out of her jewelry box, that was shut and locked. Yes there is a black hole in the universe!!

Ah, that explains a lot. Like how I could tear up my house and my car looking for my favorite Bob Seeger CD and finally give up, only to find it in the backseat several months later.

At other times, I have attributed these phenomena to God's sense of humor. In college, I once lost a precious report I had worked on for days. I shredded my room from top to bottom without finding it. I then became humble and prayed that I might find that paper. I stood up and there it was before me, I kid you not.

That has acctually happened a lot to me. I'll have books, sheet music, pencils, pens, things of every sort go missing and show up weeks, months, even years later.
I like Anime and Manga and Music and DOCTOR WHO!!

hey this kind of stuff happens to me sometimes too! and when i was a kid, occasionally i would wake up and find things in my room that were never mine to begin with, pointless things like doorknobs and beads, which would then dissapear after i left them for a few days or so. weird huh?

Yep, that's exactly what I mean!

Last week a brand new black towel appeared in the linen closet complete with tags... I've NEVER bought a black towel, and my husband wouldn't have a clue in regard to buying anything like that. So where did it come from???? No clue.

I found a pair of keys under my bed once. That was strange. Worse when I found out what they were for, but we will not speak of that again.

I found a long lost sock in a bag full of sleeping bags

now I rejoice though the other sock has been laid to rest

Oh and once I saw a dog across the road and when I went outside immediately after it was in my pond

I wonder if he used one of those holes in the universe cause he was actually across a street and a parking lot

and then I was scared to death(well obviously not that scared) when he jumped out of the pond at me

Animation artists have access to these secret holes in space and time.

That's how cartoon characters can pop up instantly anywhere they want to be, generally causing annoyance or surprise to the pop-ees. Deedee, despite her apparent ditziness, was an expert at this in order to get into Dexter's Laboratory.

Poor lost sock. Was it a Pimmy sock or a someone-else sock? Was it long and green with stripes or a more humdrum, everyday white tube sock?

Perhaps it laid down to sleep one day in the warmth and softness of the sleeping bag and failed to awaken before the other socks had continued on their journey.
