I tried to post a very cute picture of the little critter but did not succeed. I would have to do some complicated thing like use a host site as a middle man. For someone who didn't see a computer until he was almost a teenager, that's like asking me to tell a Bulgarian in Chinese that I want to order a pork chop in German.

A starry-eyed mole is simply a starry-nosed mole in love.

As Charlie Brown said to Lucy, "That's It!"

Thanks for the techno-help.

Would he be a manicurist's delight?

So what is the purpose of the nose?

Is it supposed to attract moles of the opposite sex? It is like the tail feathers of a male peacock wiggling seductively in the breeze? Is it the pink carnation on the white sports coat?

Is it suseptible to colds?

Bless you for invoking the memory of the great Marty Robbins!

I think the funky honker (on the Mole, not Marty), is to help the critter sniff out the grubs and bugs it eats.
